We all know the holiday season is all about sharing your blessings. That’s why this Christmas, Landers has partnered with The Negrense Volunteers for Change (NVC) Foundation in giving back SUPER to undernourished kids.

The NVC Foundation is a Bacolod-based non-stock, non-profit organization with a mission to fight hunger and poverty by providing proper nutrition to poor children as well as sustainable livelihood opportunities to their families.

One of their biggest projects to date is the Mingo Nutrition Program, which aims to help children from impoverished families to build strong bodies and sharp minds. Mingo is a nutritious instant complementary food made of rice, mongo (mung beans), and malunggay (moringga). They have already served 9,013,076 Mingo Meals as of September 2019 and targets 10,000,000 meals by January 2020.

To help NVC Foundation achieve their goal, we will donate P5 to the Mingo Meals Nutrition Program with every purchase of our Christmas-themed eco-bags. The more eco-bags you include in your holiday shopping, the more you can make a difference in their beneficiaries’ lives.

This Christmas, let’s pass along the blessings we have earned for the year by uplifting the spirits of as many children as we can. Buy one now and make a young one’s day super!

MINGO MEALS

NVC manufactures Mingo, a nutritious instant complementary food made of rice, mongo (mung beans), and malunggay (moringa). Mingo is primarily for infants and toddlers, but is also used for older children in areas of need.

Mingo comes in powder form and creates a porridge or drink when mixed with water, but hungry children often eat it straight from the sachet, which is okay, too!

Because of its convenience and nutritional value, Mingo has also gained popularity as emergency food in emergency relief operations. It has been used to feed people in a number of disaster or emergency situations in the Philippines.
